For the past two summers I have rented a flat because it is
so
much cheaper than using hotels or B&B's. Scotland is small enough and the public
transportation is so great that I could still get around easily to anyplace I wished. Plus
I had the advantage of living in a town and meeting the people. I seriously recommend
anyone give this a try - look for 'self-catering' rentals.
