After spending 4 months bicycling all around Scotland, I have
concluded that the people of Islay are the friendliest. One woman gave me a music tape
because she overheard me comment on its beauty, another was kind enough to arrange storage
for my gear while I visited Jura everybody smiled and waved as they drove past and at
night the pubs seemed populated with locals intent on finding out what I'd seen that day.
Sights to see include Kildalton cross, Kilchiaran chapel, Islay Life Museum, Kilchoman
Kirk and Loch Finlaggan.
