We had a nice day trip to Cupar in Fife recently, it is on the road to
St Andrews. It's a nice town good shopping, there is a very good traditional gents shop at the corner of the main square. We enjoyed walking around, the river part we saw was not so very nice but there maybe a better part, it was a Wednesday and as we drove into the town I noticed a board saying teas, etc. high teas from four till seven but when we went about five pm . the board was away and they had closed. We were directed to another place, the direction was beside the Police Station but it was a goodly walk from the town (suggest you take car if you have difficulty walking) and when we saw the place I thought it may be too expensive but no, they served a supper from six p.m. till 9p.m. which was very nice indeed we had the full three courses and coffee. It was reasonably priced and efficiently served in pleasant surroundings. It was hotel and I felt I could just have drawn up my chair and stayed overnight. We have in the past gone on to St Andrews but it is difficult to get parked, the meals are skimpy, it is off course a real tourist town geared at golfers.
