The Scottish Climate

No matter what you say about the Scottish Weather you are bound to be wrong.

There are those who rave about the cloudless two weeks they spent on the Isle of Skye and those who have spent two weeks in a wet and windy nightmare.

With this word of warning, it can be said that the west is generally wetter and warmer than the east but nowhere in Scotland can the weather be depended upon at anytime of the year. The word summer in Scotland can sometimes be a misleading expression. Nevertheless, there have been occasions when people have been admitted to hospitals suffering from heat-stroke.

May and June are usually drier months than July, August and September.

So to sum up a typical Scottish summer, cool and wet is more common than not.
