The Celtic cross at Kildaton is the finest surviving high cross in Scotland, standing 2.7 metres (9 feet) high,and was cut from a single slab of stone. Preserved in the churchyard nearby are also a number of early grave-slabs, among them is a figure of a medieval knight (photo).
