Our unique self-led tours will particularly appeal to those wishing a true adventure in the Western Highlands trekking from location to location, with daily baggage transfers as an added bonus. We offer a range of options ranging from 3 to 14 days. Daily walking distances are in the range of 10 to 15 miles unless indicated otherwise. These treks are challenging but not too strenuous, they are to be enjoyed at leisure by the reasonably fit and are not suitable for those who wish high level strenuous mountain walking.


Trekking in the Western Highlands can be a truly memorable adventure, the famous scenery ranks amongst the best anywhere. If you want to experience the better sections of the West Highland Way, try some truly great trekking into wilderness areas on the west coast with magnificent scenery all round, and appreciate peace and solitude in the midst of spectacular landscapes, then these self-led the tours are for you.

You can have extra days in the wilderness areas and on the Isles of Skye and Raasay. Mixed activities such as pony trekking, fishing, canoeing and other water sports can also be added to your tour


Everything is organised by us, from accommodation, to your route and even the transfer of your baggage, all you have to do is trek across the glens and enjoy the spectacular and atmospheric scenery that surrounds you, and in most cases only you.

You are supplied with fully detailed routes, maps and guide books and this is supplemented with local information as you go along. Accommodation is Hotel/Inn and B&B, mostly with en suite facilities. Choice of evening meals available in the bar/restaurant of hotels or nearby. Really good value inclusive packages. Tours can also be started from Edinburgh
