Highlands
& Islands |
We have designed a wide range
of self-led cycling tours which should cater for all types of interest and capabilities.
Every tour has the scenic variety so characteristic of the Western Highlands and Islands.
Castles, sea and fresh water lochs, islands, spectacular views and routes on minor roads,
except where a short stretch of main road is unavoidable, all feature in most of our
tours. This variety is further increased by use of the West Highland Railway and the
Cal-Mac ferry networks.
Our selection of comfortable
accommodation has been developed over the years and the knowledge that a warm welcome
awaits at the end of the day is one of the many attractions of the cycle tours organised
by us. Local points of interest, folklore, wild life and suggestions for evening meals are
all indicated in your itineraries. Generally speaking, June and July are the best months
to visit, although May and September can be lovely and more peaceful, although a little
cooler. August is the busiest month. All departures from Glasgow include a rail journey to
avoid tedious main road cycling in or out of the city

We also arrange rail travel
throughout the UK, which often can save you money, especially with Apex fares.
We can usually get reductions
for accompanying children on our cycle tours, depending on the age.
For those who wish to cycle
40-50 miles per day, it is possible to link a number of our tours together, though
remember that the Highlands and Islands of Scotland are not completely flat and the
weather can be changeable, slowing you down! Enquire and discuss options with us, we are
happy to help.
Our personal service is second
to none, so on the basis of the tours we offer above, work out what you would like,
contact us and we work out your best options so that you can go ahead with a deposit and
your proposed adventure in Scotland starts becoming a reality!
We can also arrange a City
Break for a day or two, if the tour departure day does not fit in with your arrival plans.
If this is still not convenient, we can invariably work out a customised tour to your
specifications, this is our speciality!
