NOTE: When measuring the following
basic rules should be followed.
Disregarding
these rules may lead to a badly fitting outfit.
|
|
·
You
must use a proper tape measure. ·
Do
not attempt to measure yourself, have someone do it for you. ·
Do
not try and read the tape measure as you are being measured. ·
Stand
up straight and natural. Do not slouch or tense your muscles. |

Size B - Chest Size. Hold
your arms out about 2 feet from your body, then place the tape measure around
your body, just below your armpits. This size should be loose, now add 1.5
inches to your size, this will be your waistcoat and shirt size. Size D - Kilt Waist. This
size should be taken over your shirt. Wrap the tape around your body at the
point just above your navel, pull the tape very tight then slacken it back until
it feels comfortable but very firm. The larger the gent the more the tape
will sink into the body, this is normal for if this size is not tight enough
the Kilt will start to slip down when moving around. Size E - Kilt Drop. At the
same point as the Kilt waist (size D - just above the navel) measure down to
between top of the kneecap and the mid kneecap, this size will be the length
of the Kilt. It is very important
that you measure straight down (as photo) and not across the body at an
angle. Size F - Shoe Size. Simply
the size of shoe you require. Size H - Your Height. This is
important; it will help us to determine if your Kilt length measurement is
accurate. |
